Types of Opalescence Whitening Treatment

You wear these trays filled with carbamide peroxide gel (in varying concentrations) for a prescribed duration each day or night. This gradual approach leads to noticeable results in about a week, continually improving over time.

While the best results are typically achieved by wearing the trays for consecutive days, this is not neces- sary to achieve the smile you desire. Wearing them every other day or even once a week can give great results! Once you have achieved the white smile you desire, stop wearing the trays.

Opalescence whitening gels contain a powerful whitening ingredient—either carbamide peroxide or hydrogen peroxide. Peroxide gels break down into water, oxygen, and reactive oxygen molecules. These reactive oxygen molecules oxidize the bonds of discolored stain molecules.
