How long are Rolo Pretzel Turtle Bites good for?

If you don’t eat them all within the first day of making them, be sure to keep them in an airtight container.

They will last for about 6 days in an airtight container before the pretzel starts to go soft and the caramel becomes really hard.

If this is a treat you need to make a few days in advance, we recommend just leaving them in an airtight container.

Do not freeze or refrigerate them because it makes the caramel hard and the pretzel mushy.

More homemade treats to make:

  • Homemade Microwave Caramels
  • Peppermint Oreo Truffles
  • 4 Ingredient Rocky Road Fudge
  • Chocolate Pretzel Bites

  8. Joel & Amy Hardee says:

You mention using M&Ms if someone's allergic to nuts, but my son is allergic to nuts/peanuts and all the M&Ms I've seen say "processed on shared equipment" which means he's not allowed to eat them. I think I'll try the 2nd pretzel idea...thanks:)

  9. alm says:

You may also be able to use Sixlets if you can find those in your area....they may not have a nut warning.

  10. Jojo says:

I find that at 300゚ oven for 3 minutes is the best. They are never runny or too soft. For the people in my family that don't like nuts I use 3 or 4 chocolate chips pressed down instead of a pecan. Though the pecan is certainly my favorite!!!
